Porch Fire
01/02/2010 -
At about 1315 the box was hit for smoke in the structure at 1235
Hanover pike. Units arrived to find light smoke conditions in
the house. Upon further investigation there was a small fire
located under the porch of the house. The fire was quickly
extinguished and the box was placed available. It is believed
that the fire started from an improperly discarded cigarette.

Basement Fire
01/05/2010 -
At approximately 0100, E201 and 20A were dispatched to Bittle Road for an automatic fire alarm. On arrival, smoke was visible
from the garage and the rest of company 20 units were requested.
Once entry was made in to the structure, fire was located in the
basement and E201 requested the full box assignment. A quick
knock was made and the fire was under control soon after.
Extensive overhaul was performed to ensure that there was no
fire in void spaces. The fire started around a stovepipe. Units were returned to service around 0300.


House Fire
01/06/2010 -
E201 and ET20 were dispatched at 0356 to 510 East Sawmill Road
in the Carroll County 6-4 box for a house fire. Units arrived
and assisted with fire operations. The fire was difficult to
contain due to the way the old house had been built. The
building material offered many void spaces and hard to reach
spots. After assisting with overhaul, units were put back in
service at 0820.
